After reading, seeing and digesting the tons of Articles and pictures of and from the BP oil spill, I was amazed that the spill was plugged in the time that it was. It was never the less, a major and expensive disaster in the history of off-shore, deepwater and oil drilling. The dead, fallen and loosers can attest to that. The positive thing of this whole mess is that the lessons and process that were used in dealing with the BP oil spill, will result in better reponses to any type of similar emergencies, should that ever happen, in the future of oil drilling. New safety policies will be implemented, new safe and safety technology will be developed and there will be faster response times to this type of emergecies Blogg was informative to the reader.

Carlos - you are doing a great job. Now I would like to see that documented on this Blog. Your target being the Legislator means the words will reflect a lot of the policy directions. Have you had a look at some of the political posters with words and ideas. This will help you design your final poster. I want to see examples of posters you have found on the internet or books on this BLOG. Going to the writing center will help - I can fill out the exact paper work you need. Short, clean and concise!!! Be direct and bring in the new text

Carlos I need to see your research for the new project posted here!!! Please do it in a timely an understandable manor!!. You have your company, your shoe and your cliche now take some time write full sentences and lets understand the direction you are going!!!.Now you have your cliche you have to explain it connecting it to you idea. you have a bit of work to do.
ReplyDeleteYou have to do your target market and then refer the cliche to your product and this will give you a direction - I have worked with a few student on this so take a look at other blogs and see what I mean by referencing the cliche as an idea.
Then you have to know your target market for the product and the company and the wholesaler - this will be a catalog advertisement. All of these will have or could have different meanings as per the target audience an placement.
I want to see 10 roughs of each design = 30
just on sketch or tracing paper - but 10 different ideas.

Carlos - I would like to see your roughs and research and ideas and images and competition uploaded and commented about on you blog. Carlos - you have great illustration techniques and could really produce some good digital work if you want jot really spend time in class working and conferring with the other students who have more knowledge wit the software.
ReplyDeletethere seems to be little correlation with the roughs and the digital images..
your use of type does not engage with the viewer and the principles of 2D design and that is what you need to work on. What is your hierarchy is not thought out.
Your roughs should be the same as your advertisement - horizontal if it will be a horizontal ad..etc. Your edges are way too harsh when having 2 images beside each other. Have a look at other advertisements to see how type looks graphically - you can not just put it in the middle of the page. Look at other advertisement and try to be a little open to haveing some constructive feedback. You could do some really good work.

Design. Finally you managed to get your information into a very formulatic and graphically sensitive design with attention to detail. The accident of the over sized printing works really well. Due to the texture and the contrast in the image. No stretched type, the body copy works in reference to the logo in the grey square. The heading is small catches the attention even though it is not big. STILL HEADING TOO CENTRAL
